Power Pinays lose to Vietnam, try to salvage 7th place

MANILA, Philippines—Philippines’ PLDT Home Tvolution failed to get a crack at fifth place after losing to Thong Thin Lien Viet Bank-Vietnam, 14-25, 17-25, 15-25, Thursday in the 2014 Asian Women’s Volleyball Club championship.

Absorbing a second straight rout after getting booted out by Japan on Wednesday, the best shot the Powers Pinays is for seventh place.

The Philippines will face Iran-Matin Varamin on Friday in its final match in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand after nearly a month of stay there.
