MANILA, Philippines—When the Money man gets into a fight, expect Floyd “Money” Mayweather Junior to hit back hard – with money.

Accepting the challenge of former friend, and now probable punching bag, 50 Cent, Money unleashed his best one-two combo yet – a picture of two checks amounting to $72,276,000,000.

“Read this $72,276,000,000. God bless,” Mayweather said in his post after 50 Cent challenged, instead of the ultra viral Icebucket, the undefeated welterweight to read a page from a Harry Potter book.

Veering away from the water-wasting, ice-melting challenge, 50 Cent’s dare to Mayweather still for a good cause, albeit the bad blood between the two, was the rapper’s promise to donate $750,000 to a charity of Money’s choosing.

“This is a special A-S-L…E-L-S challenge for you, Floyd,” 50 Cent said in his Instagram post. “If you can read one page out of a Harry Potter book, (explicit), I’ll donate $750,000 to whatever charitable organization you want… (explicit) the bucket of ice, man!”

It was all too ironic that the man challenging Mayweather to a reading spectacle messed up three simple letters: A,L and S.

He then changed the book from which Mayweather would read after late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel gave 50 Cent a call promising he would show the boxer’s reading skills on television if Money accepts.

From a Harry Potter book, 50 Cent changed it to Cat in the Hat as he didn’t want to “pressure” Mayweather.

“We don’t want to put pressure on you, we know you can’t pronounce those words in that Harry Potter book,” 50 Cent said in another Instagram post. “So we’re going to let you read Cat in the Hat.”

Money’s response may also be a jab that shows that he is richer than a man who coins himself as half-dollar.
