UP coach Rey Madrid ejected, could face suspension anew
MANILA, Philippines — University of the Philippines head coach Rey Madrid could face another suspension after getting thrown out during the Fighting Maroons’ game against the University of Santo Tomas Wednesday.
Madrid was slapped two technical fouls in a row — the first one for entering the court without permission and the last for continuous complaining — with still 17.7 seconds left in the first quarter.
Early August, Madrid served a two-game ban for his point-shaving allegations against the referees in a blowout loss to UST in the first round.
