Jeepney drives UFL upset, nips Stallion XI
Manila Jeepney delivered the upset of the season by stunning Stallion, 3-2, Wednesday night even as Green Archers notched their second straight win at the expense of Kaya in the United Football League at Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Jeepney relied on the brilliance of former Far Eastern U standout Eric Giganto who scored twice and assisted on Koffie Koausi’s goal that sent Stallion to a second straight defeat.
Robert Canedo and Robert Lopez Mendy were on target as Archers spoiled the coaching debut of Fabian Lewis with a 2-0 reversal over Kaya.
