Castrol-Yokohama’s Iñigo Anton scored the biggest win of his career by winning the first leg of the Asian Karting Open Championship recently in Macau.

Anton cruised to victory after overtaking fellow Filipino Joaquin Garrido with six laps remaining in the final heat.

Garrido tried many times to regain his post but Anton kept focus and managed to keep Garrido at bay until the checkered flag.

“This is a dream come true, and all the hard work and practice with coach Edgen (Dy Liacco) paid off.  I thank the Lord for giving me this win,” Iñigo Anton said after the race.

“Iñigo drove a fantastic race.  He had to overcome a bad start which saw him drop down to third behind Constantin (Reisch).  I’m glad he was still able to recover and take the win after that,” said multiple Philippine Champion Carlos Anton.
