Valdez, Lady Eagles show full support to injured Tolentino
Alyssa Valdez surprised everyone when she played unexpectedly in Ateneo’s quick disposal of San Sebastian Sunday. And her brief appearance couldn’t have come in handy for the injury-hit Lady Eagles.
Valdez thinks her coach Tai Bundit let her play because four of Ateneo’s players are out due to injuries. Ella de Jesus has eye infection, Jia Morado’s left knee needs minor operation while Mae Tajima and rookie Kat Tolentino are also sidelined with injuries.

Tolentino is expected to be out for at least six months after suffering another ACL injury, her third one in just a span of two and a half years.
