After long wait, Ross finally gets his due with All-Defensive nod
It was a culmination of a six year-dream for Chris Ross.
On a night where the San Miguel Beermen conquered the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup, Ross also fulfilled a feat he’s been aching for ever since he entered the league.
“Finally,” said the San Miguel guard on being named into the league’s All-Defense Team. “I’ve been trying to get it for the last six years. It’s amazing, but it’s not just me, it’s my team. We played defense as a team and once you do that, individual awards come.”

And Ross’ suffocating defense made him this season’s leader in steals and become a pivotal part of the Beermen’s championship run that was capped by a four-game sweep of Alaska.
Though, taking home the award was special, Ross said the team’s “ultimate goal” of winning a second title this season means more to him.
“As long as I win the championship, it’s all that matters,” he said.
