V-League: FEU grabs share of top spot in Group A

Far Eastern University trampled Arellano in four sets, 25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, to gain a share of the top spot in Group A in the Shakey’s V-League Season 12 Collegiate Conference on Sunday at the Arena in San Juan.

Bernadeth Pons made a living by pouncing on the Lady Chiefs’ defense, scoring 18 of her 21 points off kills.

The Lady Tamaraws improved to 2-0 to tie National University Lady Bulldogs in their group.

Guest player Jovelyn Gonzaga also made her mark with 15 points, Remy Joy Palma got 10 points, four off blocks.

Danna Henson led Arellano with 11 points, 10 of which came from spikes.
Menchie Tubiera and guest player Mina Aganon had nine points apiece for the Lady Chiefs, which fell to an even 1-1 slate.
