D-League stars Alas, Lanete reunited at NLEX
After NLEX got its former player in the PBA D-League in Garvo Lanete as the sixth overall pick in the Rookie Draft last Sunday, the Road Warriors are also reuniting with another guard.
NLEX acquired Kevin Alas in a blockbuster three-team trade that also sent second overall pick Troy Rosario to Talk ‘N Text and Niño Canaleta, Aldrech Ramos and Rob Reyes to Mahindra.

Article continues after this advertisementAlas, a one-time D-League MVP just like Lanete, is looking forward to working with Boyet Fernandez, who steered the Road Warriors to multiple championships in the D-League.
“I’m excited to play for NLEX and coach Boyet and at the same time makakasama ko ulit si (I’m going to play with Garvo again)” Alas told INQUIRER.net.
The former Letran star hopes his reunion with Fernandez and Lanete is a just the start of great things to come.

The 23-year-old Alas, though, admits that he will miss being part of Talk ‘N Text where he won a championship during the 2015 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
“I’m gonna miss them because we are like brothers there.”
Alas missed most of the Governors’ Cup due to a foot injury but will be ready when the new season opens after undergoing surgery last June.
