North Korea whips Malaysia in chase for 9th spot in AWCC
BIÑAN, Laguna–Democratic People’s Republic of Korea showed its muscle and forced Malaysia into submission, 25-9, 25-14, 25-10, in the classification stages of the Asian Volleyball Confederation Asian Women’s Club Championship Wednesday at Alonte Sports Arena.
April 25 of North Korea is in the hunt for a ninth place finish in the tournament while the Malaysians’ highest possible seed will be at 11th.
Jong Jin Sim led Korea with 15 points while Ri Ra Hyang added nine.

Korea also put up an impressive blockade turning away the Malaysians to the tune of nine blocks.
Mei Cing Low had seven points to lead Malaysia.
