De La Salle doesn’t lose often, but when it does there’s usually hell to pay.

After the Lady Spikers lost their first round finale against archrival Ateneo on Saturday, Kim Kianna Dy and company dropped the napalm on Far Eastern University with a three-set sweep, 25-5, 25-23, 25-23.

Dy said their record win over the Lady Tamaraws gave them back the confidence they lost against the Lady Eagles in the 26-24, 26-24, 21-25, 25-17 setback.

“We really need to bring our confidence back after losing to Ateneo,” said Dy, who had nine points in the victory.

Dy added they played with such tenacity that they were hell-bent on handing FEU a quick loss.

La Salle’s 25-5 first set win was the greatest margin since University of Santo Tomas went nuclear against University of the East in 2010 with a 25-2 period.

“We really were pumped up for this game, because we really didn’t play that well against Ateneo so we corrected our mistakes and improved,” said Dy. “And we’re always aggressive the game after we lose.”
