Nicole Tiamzon’s UAAP career may have come to an end but she will leave the confines of University of the Philippines without a regret in her heart.

UP got eliminated from the Final Four after losing in straight sets to Far Eastern University, 25-16, 25-16, 27-25, Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

Despite the heartbreak, Tiamzon said another team is more deserving of taking one of the remaining Final Four spots.

“Regrets? None at all,” said Tiamzon. “Though I think it’s unfortunate we weren’t able to get to the Final Four for another year and all of our sacrifices went for naught,” said Tiamzon, one of the three graduating Lady Maroons.

“If this wasn’t for us, that spot belongs to someone else,” said Tiamzon.

UP failed to follow up in its surprise entry to the Final Four in Season 78, where the Lady Maroons were eliminated by silver medalists Ateneo after one game.

And even though Tiamzon is at peace with her departure from the Lady Maroons, her career outside of Diliman is still up in the air.

Tiamzon said she still hasn’t decided on where to play next despite playing a big part in Foton’s early days in the Philippine Super Liga.

“I’d rest first and finish my thesis and I know I’ll still play but I still haven’t decided where,” said Tiamzon.
