Ravena wants to move on

Kiefer Ravena is hoping to put the controversy over his leaked photos behind him, saying he just wants to keep his focus on basketball.
Ravena, who made his debut for Alab Pilipinas last Sunday, has apologized for the hurt he caused his family, friends and girlfriend Alyssa Valdez over his lewd photos and sexually explicit conversations on Viber that spread online.

“This is the last time I’ll talk about this. I just want to focus on basketball, to move on,” said Ravena Tuesday in an interview with select reporters.
“Of course, I won’t be able to stop other people from saying things but I’d like to apologize to all I affected. I just want to move forward in terms of my career, my relationships with other people. Hopefully in time, everything will be OK.”
Ravena returned to the hardcourt after a hand injury and dropped 16 points in Alab Pilipinas’ 67-77 loss to Singapore on the road in their best-of-three semifinals series.

While he had granted several interviews since he arrived in Manila last week, it was the first time that Ravena tackled the issue head on.
The former Ateneo star said he made a mistake in “engaging” in the conversations with another person, screenshots of which ended up all over the internet.
“I want to apologize for what happened. I’m very sorry for entertaining (the conversation with another person) and it ended up this way,” Ravena said.

Ravena has filed a case against a former Ateneo student, who was arrested in an entrapment operation for allegedly leaking the photos and trying to extort money from him.
