Hall of Fame boxing promoter Bob Arum and UFC president Dana White may not see eye-to-eye on many things, but they agree on one thing.

There is not going to be a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor.

Amid Manny Pacquiao’s admission that he has reached out to McGregor’s camp for a possible fight, the two honchos were quick to quell such talk.

“That would be weird because he’s under contract with us,” White said during UFC Fight Night: Fresno post-fight presser as reported by Yahoo! Sports.  “If that’s true, I will be suing Manny Pacquiao and whoever’s representing him, so I’m assuming that’s not true.”

White also assured that McGregor’s next fight will be in the UFC.

Arum, meanwhile, called the talks of a possible boxing fight between the boxing legend and the MMA star a “total nonsense.”

“If there is such a fight, Pacquiao or any other boxer would give McGregor a beating. But there are no negotiations right now. McGregor is still spending the money that he earned from the fight with Mayweather,” said Arum in a report on boxingscene.com

It was Pacquiao, though, who fanned the rumors of another cross-combat fight by posting a photo of McGregor on Instragram with the caption that included the hashtags “real boxing match” and “2018” earlier this month.

Pacquiao later admitted to AFP that he and McGregor have had initial talks “but we have not yet had any follow-up conversations.”

“If we can negotiate it, I have no problem. It is okay with both of us,” Pacquiao also said in the same wire report.
