MANILA, Philippines—Add Sugar Ray Leonard to the list of people who want Pacquiao-Mayweather 2 to happen.

Speaking to TMZ sports during a golf tournament in California, the boxing legend said that a rematch between two of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the history of boxing is something fans want to see.

“It’d be a great fight. Put it this way, it should be done,” said Leonard, an Olympic gold medalist and a five-division champion, in the interview. “In a crazy way, yes (it will help boxing).”

“People will watch it.”

But another megabout doesn’t seem a possibility at the moment with both the Pacquiao and Mayweather camps shutting down the idea despite their verbal jabs on social media that has everyone hyped.

Pacquiao continues to turn back time and his brilliance remained in full display in the split decision victory over the previously undefeated Keith Thurman last month.

Mayweather, meanwhile, seems to be enjoying his retirement but hasn’t stopped taunting his Pacquiao with his social media posts.
