MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines dropped a four-set heartbreaker to Indonesia, 25-21, 25-17, 22-25, 25-21, Sunday night to settle for the bronze medal in the Asean Volleyball Grand Prix second leg at Sta. Rosa multi-purpose gym in Laguna.

The Nationals got off to a slow start and had to scramble to avert a shutout loss owing to Maddie Madayag and Jovelyn Gonzaga who came off the bench to deliver the much needed points.

It was the second straight bronze medal finish by the Filipinos in the meet aimed at gauging their readiness for the coming Southeast Asian Games.

Thailand expectedly bagged the championship, its second in a row, after routing Vietnam, 25-21, 25-12, 25-11, earlier.
