SEA Games: Filipinos score gold, silver medals in men’s downhill

Philippine bets captured the top two spots in the men’s downhill mountainbike event of the 30th Southeast Asian Games on Monday in Batangas.

John Derrick Farr added to the country’s gold medal tally, topping the race with a time of 2:41.143. Compatriot Eleazar Barba Jr. came in at 2:42.503 for the silver.

Farr’s gold is the second for cycling after Lea Denise Belgira also bagged the top plum in the women’s downhill event earlier.

The mountainbike team has also delivered two silvers and two bronze medals to the Philippines’ medal haul.
