MANILA, Philippines—Stephen Loman is up for arguably the biggest fight of his career when he takes on John Lineker in the ONE on TNT IV card on April 28.

And he’s been receiving valuable help from one of his Team Lakay stablemates.

A former BRAVE CF bantamweight champion, Loman has been constantly training with former ONE champion Kevin Belingon—a man that experienced a bitter loss against Lineker.

Loman said Belingon, who lost via second round technical knockout, has been giving him constant advice and he plans to use it once he’s locked up with Lineker in the cage.

“He’s always telling me that once Lineker closes the range then he’ll launch every combination he has,” said Loman (13-2) in Filipino. “He told me to watch out for the punches Loman will throw.”

“I’m thankful for his advice and I saw in their fight that Lineker is very strong.”

Lineker (33-9), a member of famed gym American Top Team, is a UFC veteran and holds a 12-4 record in the promotion including a streak of six straight wins.

Nevertheless, Loman is motivated to send Lineker to the losers’ column as the fight also carries a bit of personal vendetta.

“This adds motivation because in his last fight he beat Kuya Kevin,” said Loman. “I want to avenge his loss and I’ll do everything I can in that fight.”
