WATCH: Saso, Eala banner all-Filipino cast in Newsmakers

MANILA, Philippines — Five Filipinos, bannered by golf phenom Yuka Saso and rising tennis star Alex Eala, make up the latest edition of Newsmakers.

Saso, 19, became the first Filipino to win a major title after she won the US Women’s Open championship while the 16-year-old Eala captured her second junior Grand Slam girls doubles title.

Also making their mark on the international stage the past week are pole vaulter EJ Obiena and world champion gymnast Carlos Yulo while weightlifter Elreen Ando qualified for the Tokyo Olympics.
