MANILA, Philippines—EJ Obiena returned to form after placing second in the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Chorzow, Poland on Sunday.

Obiena finished tied with KC Lightfoot of the United States after both cleared 5.80 meters.

His performance came just a couple of days after he wound up in 10th at the Memorial Van Damme in Brussels, Belgium.

Chris Nilsen ruled the event with a 5.86 clearance.

The 25-year-old Obiena also attempted to break his personal best and national record of 5.91m he set in the Paris Diamond League last week, but the world No. 5 failed to soar over 5.92m twice.

Obiena is scheduled to compete in the Wanda Diamond League final in Zurich, Switzerland from Sept. 8-9.
