Greg Slaughter fined P20,000 for flagrant foul on Adams

MANILA, Philippines—The PBA has fined center Greg Slaughter P20,000 for his flagrant foul 2 in NorthPort’s 104-84 win over Terrafirma in the 2021 Philippine Cup, league commissioner Willie Marcial said Saturday.

Slaughter was thrown out at the 8:19 mark of the second quarter after a hard foul on Roosevelt Adams with the Batang Pier holding a 30-22 lead.

The 7-foot center, who dodged suspension, exited the game tallying two points, on 1-of-6 shooting, and three rebounds in 9:50 of play.

Despite losing Slaughter, the Batang Pier controlled the paint outscoring the Bossing 46-36 in the restricted area and earning a 52-40 rebounding edge.

NorthPort, which holds a 3-3 record, looks to improve its winning streak to three games as it takes on NLEX on Sunday.
