MANILA, Philippines — Brothers Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena reunited in Japan ahead of the upcoming B.League season where they are on opposing teams for the first time in their careers.

The two posted a photo of them on their respective Instagram accounts.

“Just tryna make the parents proud,” Thirdy wrote.

“Backpackin’ around the world til the dream comes true,” Kiefer posted.

The keenly-awaited first meeting between San-en and Shiga, featuring the Ravenas, is set on October 2.

Kiefer left for Japan late last month to complete the needed requirements for his stint with the Shiga Lakestars.

Thirdy is already in his second season with the San-en NeoPhoenix after signing a multi-year deal with the club last May.

He was the first Filipino to sign in the B.League after inking a deal with San-en last year.

And aside from Kiefer, several more have taken the same path since including PBA star Ray Parks, Kobe Paras and Dwight Ramos.
