MANILA, Philippines—Saitama and Jaja Santiago put a stop to their skid after sweeping PFU, 27-25, 25-17, 25-18, in the 2021-22 Japan V.League season Sunday at Komatsu Gymnasium in Ishikawa.

Mami Uchiseto fired 15 points for the Ageo Medics who are now at .500 territory with a 3-3 record.

Santiago had six points in the victory against the Bluecats, who beat Saitama on Saturday, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.

Melisa Valdes had 22 points for PFU.

Oita Miyoshi and Bryan Bagunas, however, continued their slide as they fell to Toray in four sets, 25-17, 25-18, 22-25, 25-16 at Miyazaki Prefectural Gymnasium.

Bagunas had eight points in the loss as the Weisse Adler dropped their fifth straight match for a 1-5 record.

Christian Padal had 23 points to lead the Arrows.

FC Tokyo and Marck Espejo’s winless run also continued after absorbing a 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 25-21 loss to Nagoya at Toyoda Gosei Memorial Gymnasium.

Espejo finished with six points as FC Tokyo took its sixth straight setback.

Jonas Kvalen led FC Tokyo with 19 points.

Bartosz Kurek fired 29 points to lead the Wolfdogs.
