MANILA, Philippines—Jack Animam’s dominant first foray in Serbia was cut short due to an injury, her club Radnicki Kragujevac confirmed on social media.
The Filipino star was a consistent force for her team, which signed her to a deal back in August, in the First Women’s Basketball League of Serbia.
“We escorted our Jack to America. Thanks to her for everything she has done in this short time, she was one of the most important players in the senior team. We wish her a speedy recovery,” the club wrote in Serbian.
“As JACK said in the end “NO GOODBYE but SEE YOU.”
Playing like an MVP, the 23-year-old center was in the top five in points, rebounds and blocks before her injury.
She averaged 20 points and a league-best 14.3 rebounds on top of 1.9 blocks in eight games for Radnicki.
Before turning pro in Serbia, Animam trained in the United States under East West Private.
