PH to host 4 international events in loaded volleyball 2022 calendar
MANILA, Philippines—Volleyball will feature heavily in the amid a busy sporting calendar next year with the Philippines also hosting four international tournaments in 2022.
Premier Volleyball League will also hold two conferences in February and October, according to the schedule released by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation.
Article continues after this advertisementQuezon City, along with Sofia in Bulgaria, will host the second week of the men’s division of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League from June 21 to 26.
Pasay City will then share hosting duties with Brasilia, Brazil for the second week of the women’s division from June 14 to 19.
The AVC Cup for Women will be played from August 21 to 28 in San Fernando, Pampanga while the 1 Star FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour will end the calendar year in December in Subic.
Article continues after this advertisementThe 2022 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference will serve up PNVF’s calendar on February 13 with the tournament ending on April 3 with the second edition of the Champions League immediately following on April 24 to May 27.
Another PVL conference will be played on October 2 until November 6 while the third Champions League is on November 27 to December 10.
Other international tournaments included in the calendar are the 2022 AVC Asian Club Championships for both men and women (before May 2022), the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam (May 12 to 23), Asian Women’s U17 Volleyball Championship in Thailand (June 6 to 13), Asian Men’s U18 Volleyball Championship in Iran (June 20 to 27), Asian Women’s U19 Volleyball Championship in China (July 4 to 11), U16 Volleyball Championships (August 14 to 22), Asian Men’s U20 Volleyball Championship in Bahrain (August 22 to 29), and Asian Games in Hangzhou, China (September 10 to 25).
San tournaments include the National Beach Volleyball Championships in Subic (March 24 to 27), National Boys and Girls’ U18 Beach Volleyball Championships in Negros Occidental (May 19 to 22), and Regional Beach Volleyball (August).
