Nonito Donaire to show his best in ‘very exciting’ rematch vs Naoya Inoue

MANILA, Philippines—Nonito Donaire is revved up and raring to go after making weight on Monday ahead of his bantamweight unification rematch with unbeaten Japanese Naoya Inoue.

Donaire hit the scales at 117.8 pounds while Inoue weighed in at 118 pounds. The two will meet again at Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on Tuesday.

“I feel good, I feel great.  It is going to be an amazing night and you can look forward to seeing the best of me,” said Donaire, who stakes his WBC title and goes for Inoue’s WBA (Super) and IBF belts.

“I am very fired up and it is going to be a very exciting fight,” he added.

Donaire (42-6, 28KOs) lost to Inoue (22-0, 19KOs) in a 12-round slugfest in their first showdown in 2019.

The 39-year-old Donaire is very confident of ending Inoue’s undefeated run this time around.
