MANILA, Philippines—Terrafirma big man Isaac Go is expected to be sidelined for a year after suffering ACL, MCL and meniscus tears in his right knee.

Go got injured in the first quarter of the Dyip’s 100-86 loss to the NorthPort Batang Pier on Saturday at Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The development was another blow to Terrafirma, which couldn’t catch a break following a string of injuries to its key cogs.

Apart from Go’s injury, guard Ed Daquioag also went down with a gruesome ankle injury in the same game and is likely to sit out for a long period of time. The Dyip also lost forward Eric Camson after a bad fall in the first quarter against the Batang Pier.

Last December, veteran playmaker Alex Cabagnot tore his left Achilles tendon that abruptly ended his season.

Terrafirma coach Johnedel Cardel hopes his other bigs Joseph Gabayni and Christian Balagasay step up in the absence of Go.

The depleted Dyip return to action on Friday against Phoenix, aiming for their first win after starting the 2022 Philippine Cup at 0-2.
