BVR holds provincial qualifiers in Negros Occidental
MANILA, Philippines–The Beach Volleyball Republic starts its hunt for the next beach volleyball stars to play in the BVR on Tour regional and national tournaments through the provincial qualifiers starting with the Negros Island Beach Volleyball Tour.
The main draw is set this weekend at Center Mall in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Article continues after this advertisementThe BVR, in partnership with local government unit of San Carlos City, organized the first-ever Negros Island Beach Volleyball Tour.
A total of 27 teams (14 men and 13 women) from the different localities in Negros Occidental, as well as from outside Negros Island participated in the local qualifier held last Saturday at the same venue.
Negros Occidental 1’s Philip Sugaton and Peter Sugaton, CSA Victorias’ Marvin Paulite and John Dorimon, Himamaylan’s Dennis Magtolis and John Paul Ecawalo, and Aklan-Powered Recovery by Spicaholics’ Harold Closeio and Clyde Nalangan have made it to the men’s main draw.
Article continues after this advertisementThey will be joined by Asian Volleybalista’s Rancel Varga and Dominique Gabito, Bacolod’s Deanne Neil de Pedro and Eljhay Ronquillo, Biogenic Alcohol’s AJ Pareja and Henry Pecaña, NU Boysen’s Jhon Cabatuan and Jeffer Guerrero, NU Bulldogs’ James Buytrago and Pol Salvador, San Carlos’ Roger Ramirez and Noel Pasilan, M Studio’s Efraim Dimaculangan and Jay Rack dela Noche, and Higad Himamaylan’s Clark Fernandez and Miguel Yu.
For women, UNO-R 1’s Gelimae Villanueva and Kyla Gallego, Gapusan Grille-Bacolod’s Sheryl Laborte and Bea Gapusan, UNO-R 2’s Marixi Maligmat and Johana Puzon, and Pontevedra 1’s Terri Escanlar and Ashgan Bkheet have also secured their place to the main draw.
Joining them are Bacolod’s MJ Ebro and Honey Grace Cordero, Biogenic Alcohol 1’s Amy Ahomiro and Marge Tejada, Biogenic Alcohol 2’s Che Sindayen and Roma Joy Doromal, NU Boysen’s Kathrina Epa and Kly Orillaneda, Pontevedra’s Erjane Magdato and Jennifer Cosas, San Carlos’ Edrilyn Carbarosa and Ma. Angela Solitario, Talisay’s Rizalie Amaro and Mary Melony Amaro, and Higad Visayas’ Therese Ramas and Bianca Lizares.
