Jimuel Pacquiao bounces back, beats American foe
MANILA, Philippines—Jimuel Pacquiao bounced back with a decision win over American Dylan Merriken in a lightweight amateur bout on Friday in Montebello, California.
The son of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao got back on track three months after he suffered his first loss on United States soil.
Article continues after this advertisementLearning his lesson, the younger Pacquiao fought much more composed this time to edge his opponent in the three-rounder.
Jimuel was rewarded with a special amateur belt by the WBC.
His mother, Jinkee, and two sisters Princess and Queenie was at the venue to witness the fight.
Article continues after this advertisementThe 21-year-old Pacquiao improved to 3-1 since fighting in the US. He lost to Chris Smith in his previous fight last May.
