MANILA, Philippines — Kai Sotto went to Australia to reunite with the Adelaide 36ers before flying to the Philippines next week for the fourth window of the Fiba World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers.
The 36ers on Thursday bared that the 7-foot-3 center arrived in Adelaide.
“I’m back in Adelaide and I can’t wait to see my teammates and can’t wait to see my home in Australia. Let’s get it,” said Sotto in a short video clip posted by his team.
The 20-year-old was also seen in practice with teammates Daniel Johnson and Kyrin Galloway.
Sotto decided to return to Adelaide for his second season in Australia’s National Basketball League after he went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Rookie Draft.
