MANILA, Philippines — American import Tai Bierria is set to beef up Cignal in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, which opens on October 8.

The HD Spikers on Friday welcomed the 6-foot-1 opposite hitter ahead of the import-flavored tournament’s return after three years.

The 25-year-old played for Memphis University and New Mexico University in the US NCAA.

Bierria started her club league experience in Finland, playing for Pölkky Kuusamo in the Finland Cup and Mestaruusliiga from 2020 to 2021. She took her talent to Clamart Volleyball team in the France Elite last season.

Cignal is the second team to unveil its import as defending Reinforced Conference champion Petro Gazz announced the signing of American Lindsey Vander Weide a day ago.

The HD Spikers are hoping that Bierria would be the missing piece to reach the Finals after settling for back-to-back bronze medal finishes in the past two conferences.

Bierria solidifies the wing spiker rotation of coach Shaq Delos Santos as she joins Rachel Anne Daquis and Ces Molina.
