MANILA, Philippines—Lindsay Stalzer exploded for 24 points to end F2 Logistics’ two-game skid with a 25-17, 25-21, 25-16 victory over winless United Auctioneers Inc. (UAI)-Army and barge into the win column of the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at Philsports Arena.

Stalzer, who aired her frustration after a four-set loss to Choco Mucho last week, displayed a high percentage offensive game, hitting 23-of-49 in spiking and contributing 10 excellent receptions to carry the Cargo Movers, who lost Kalei Mau due to cramps midway into the second set.

The 38-year-old American import put on the finishing touches in the second set, blocking Jovelyn Gonzaga for a two-set lead. She also conspired with opposite spiker Kianna Dy in the third, where F2 Logistics zoomed to a 17-7 advantage.

Dzi Gervacio also had her moments for F2 Logistics, pushing her team at match point, 24-16, before nailing the game-clinching attack.

The Cargo Movers finally had a libero after missing Dawn Macandili in their first two games. Macandili finished with 13 digs. Ivy Lacsina also provided key contributions with seven points, highlighted by three blocks, and five digs.

Mau had eight points before she was taken out of the match. Dy also scored eight.

“We had to pull her out of the game because of cramps. We’ll assess in the dugout later. But as our team (physical therapist) said she has to be out of the game,” said F2 Logistics coach Benson Bocboc in Filipino.

“If you can see, our other wing spikers still have a lot to improve. Like Ara, her preparation before was passing (as a libero), and our other outside spikers are still unavailable. So there are still a lot of adjustments.”

Despite the victory, Bocboc said his team still has a lot to work especially with its execution after giving up 24 errors.

“A win is a win. Our players are still moving tight and still have some lapses. But we’ll take the win to boost the team’s confidence. So aside from that, we’ll have to work more and harder for our next games,” said Bocboc, whose squad takes on PLDT (1-1) on Tuesday.

Army dropped to 0-3 as they got dominated by F2 Logistics in attacking, 25-51. Gonzaga and Royse Tubino led Army with only seven and six points, respectively. Canadian Laura Condotta was held to just five points but had 11 digs and 11 receptions.

The Lady Troopers take on the league-leading Chery Tiggo Crossovers (2-0) on Thursday.
