In a rematch of last season’s finals showdown, National University Lady Bulldogs and La Salle Lady Spikers square off anew this time for the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball championship.
The best-of-three finals series begin on May 7.
The Lady Bulldogs’ bid for a repeat will have to hurdle a deeper Lady Spikers squad led by rookie superstar Angel Canino.

The La Salle Lady Spikers and the NU Lady Bulldogs have two chances to seal a finals rematch in the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament as the Final Four
La Salle grabbed the top seed after the end of the eliminations while NU placed second to both hold twice-to-beat advantages against the UST Golden Tigresses and the Adamson Lady Falcons, respectively.

The second round of the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament kicks off on March 25 with all eight teams looking to establish a better footing as the tournament rolls on.

La Salle Lady Spikers topped the first round of the competition with a perfect 7-0 record with a dominant showing all throughout, including a beating of defending champion NU Lady Bulldogs
Adamson Lady Falcons, with their best start in years, came in second tied with NU and UST Tigresses (5-2) to end the first round followed by FEU Lady Tamaraws (3-4), Ateneo Blue Eagles (2-5), UP Fighting Maroons (1-6) and UE Lady Red Warriors (0-7).
The women’s volleyball games are held every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at several venues in Metro Manila.
