PHNOM PENH— Andrew Kim Remolino pocketed a silver medal in aquathlon, providing comfort for Team Philippines after Raven Faith Alcoseba missed the podium on Saturday at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.

Remolino, a two-time SEA Games triathlon silver medalist, brought his act to the 500-meter swim, 2.5-km run event and clocked 15 minutes and seven seconds behind gold medalist Rashif Yaqin (14:28) of Indonesia.

Singapore’s Bryce Sheng Chong placed third (15:39) in the race held in Kep, a sleepy seaside town 3.5-hour drive from the Games’ hub here.

Alcoseba wasn’t as lucky, winding up fourth in the women’s side behind gold medalist Margot Marabedian, a former French triathlete who was naturalized by Cambodia.

Garabedian, a threat to three-time women’s triathlon champion Kim Mangrobang, submitted a time of 16:09.

Thailand’s Aisika Kaewyongkod placed second (17:15) and Indonesia’s Dea Putri got bronze in 17:33 before Alcoseba checked in at 17:43.
