SEA Games 2023: Philippines wins silver, bronze medals in Cambodian chess
MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines bagged two medals from ouk chaktrang (Cambodian chess) in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The Philippines added one silver and one bronze in Ouk Chaktrang, a traditional chess sport game in Cambodia.
Article continues after this advertisementThe women’s team, consisting of Woman Grandmaster Janelle Mae Frayna and Woman International Master Shania Mae Mendoza, officially clinched its silver finish in the 60-minute double’s category on Friday.
They had virtually won second place on Wednesday.

GM Darwin Laylo, IM Paulo Bersamina, IM Jem Garcia and GM Rogelio Antonio comprised the men’s team that secured a podium finish.
