MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines reaped a gold medal in soft tennis in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games at Olympic Complex: National Olympic Stadium on Sunday in Cambodia.
Noelle Conchita Zoleta Mañalac and Princess Lorben Ambos Catindig clinched the Philippines’ 12th gold medal after ruling the women’s double individual category.
The duo defeated Thailand’s Chatmanee and Napawee Jankiaw, 5-2, to make the twins settle for silver.
On the way to the Finals, Mañalac and Catindig overcame Cambodia, 5-0, while also defeating Indonesia, 5-1.
Laos’ Pankeo Teso and Kinnaly Sengchanh took home the bronze, edging out Indonesia.
