Kaya-Iloilo blanked by Incheon in AFC Champions League
MANILA, Philippines–Kaya-Iloilo was handily beaten by South Korean side Incheon United, 4-0, to absorb a second straight setback in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League.
The Philippines Football League champions conceded two goals inside 20 minutes, all coming from Stefan Mugosa as their first away match ended in disappointment at Incheon Football Stadium.

Its latest defeat in the continental front sent Kaya at the bottom of Group G after the second matchday, with things expected to get tougher later this month.
Incheon United climbed to the top of the group after posting its second straight win for six points.
Article continues after this advertisementKaya will resume its Champions League campaign on Oct. 25 with a visit to Japan’s Yokohama F. Marinos, currently in second after a 1-0 win over China’s Shandong Taishan.
The match in South Korea was the second of a slate of three games in eight days for Kaya, which will now shift its focus back to the domestic scene in the Copa Paulino Alcantara.
Kaya will face University of the Philippines in the second leg of their quarterfinal faceoff on Sunday at Rizal Memorial Stadium, holding a 3-0 aggregate lead.
Meanwhile, Stallion-Laguna battles Australian squad Central Coast Mariners in Wednesday’s AFC Cup match in Gosford.
Stallion is eager to bounce back from a 5-2 loss to Indonesia’s Bali United two weeks ago in Binan, but is expected to have its hands full against the winners of last season’s A-League season.
