Team Masserati favored in Sultan Cup today

/ 12:53 AM March 10, 2013

MIKEE Romero’s Team Masserati has been tipped as favorite when it clashes with Team Jaguar in the Globalport 900’s Sultan Cup today at the polo field of Alabang Country Club.

“I think the group of Mikee is much stronger than us,” said Team Jaguar’s Santi Juban. “But we’ll give them a good and exciting match.”
But Romero, the Globalport owner teaming up with another sports patron in Tal Srivaddhanaprabha of Thailand, said there’s no reason to underestimate Juban’s crew that also includes veterans Isidro Olivas of Mexico, Argentina’s Santi Galland and Adrian Garcia.

“We can’t take our chances,” said Romero, who has recently competed in a series of tournaments in the US. “We have to play very hard and play as one big unit to prevail.”
