PBA, INQUIRER.net renew partnership
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Basketball Association and the INQUIRER.net have renewed their partnership for another three years.
“We owe it so much to the amazing hands-on management of Paolo Prieto,” said PBA Commissioner Chito Salud. “We regularly discuss what the page would look like so that it will not lag behind other sports website,” said Salud Friday at the signing of the contract Friday.

The partnership that started in December 2012 between Asia’s oldest basketball league and the no. 1 news website in the country allows INQUIRER.net to host exclusively the official PBA site. It has since averaged 10 million pageviews a month and is considered among the most visited sites of INQUIRER.net, a member of the Inquirer Group of Companies (IGC).
Prieto, Inquirer Interactive Inc. president, and Salud signed the three-year extension during the half-time of the game between Globalport Batang Pier and Meralco Bolts at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

“The extension is all about the fans,” Salud said.
