Rock ‘n’ Roll running series in Manila returns
MANILA, Philippines–Leading up to the race night in November, ASICS Rock ‘n’ Roll Series Manila is returning bigger than ever this year.
From the kick-off on February 16 up until the race night at Rizal Park on November 26, the event has lined up a series of activities for the racing community–including training runs with seasoned runners and a medal and route showcase–on top of the unique race itself.

“We are just as excited as the rest to host this Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series for the second straight year,” said Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna during a press event recently.
“Manila has so much to offer and the local government and the Manila Police District will closely coordinate with the organizers to guarantee safety for the runners and spectators alike.”

It is expected to draw more than 5,000 runners this time, with four races lined up starting at midnight of November 26.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Manila Marathon will begin in front of Rizal Park and will take the runners through the city’s historical sights like National Museum, Manila City Hall, Kartilya ng Katipunan, and the famed walled area of Intramuros.
