Jerwin Gaco helps McDavid hold off Family Mart-Enderun for 1st win

McDavid ended its winless start after holding off Family Mart-Enderun, 73-68, in the 2019 PBA D-League Monday at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
But McDavid’s breakthrough victory could’ve easily been another loss after it blew a 19-point lead and saw Family Mart-Enderun close within two down the stretch.
Fortunately for McDavid, Jerwin Gaco was there to save the day.

“I turned to Jerwin inside and I told him to bully his way in the paint,” McDavid coach Ricardo said in Filipino.
Gaco posted a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Michole Sorela also shone as he was a huge factor why McDavid pulled ahead early.
Sorela scored 19 of his 22 points in the first half where his team took a 52-36 advantage at the break.
