MANILA, Philippines—PBA teams are set to return to practice with the league expected to return to competition in the first week of September.
League Commissioner Willie Marcial said the teams will be given a week to practice heading into the season’s resumption after play was suspended following the declaration of enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila.
“We’ll give them one week to practice then we’ll resume the games,” said Marcial in Filipino as per PBA.ph.
The PBA, however, will move from Pasig City to Pampanga for the resumption of the games with Governor Dennis Pineda implementing requirements for a semi-bubble setup.
All that’s left is to wait for the final approval from the Provincial Government of Pampanga for the PBA to continue on with its games with a tentative date of September 1.
The PBA also played the 2020 Philippine Cup in Clark, Pampanga with the league taking up residence at Quest Hotel and games held at Angeles University Foundation.
