MANILA, Philippines—Osaka avenged its season-opening loss to Oita Miyoshi with a three-set sweep, 25-18, 25-18, 25-18, on Sunday in the 2021-22 V.League Division 1 Season at Nippon Steel Sakay Gymnasium.

Bryan Bagunas, who had 22 points in the opening game, was limited to 10 points in the Weisse Adler’s second game against the Sakai Blazers.

Both teams are now tied at 1-1 in the standings behind leader Toray Arrows, who hold a 2-0 record.

Takano Naoya had 17 points to lead Osaka while Vernon Evans added 14 points.

Yamada Kota helped the Weisse Adler with 10 points while Emerson Rodriguez added nine points.
