SEA Games: Joanie Delgaco adds silver, Cris Nievarez bronze to PH rowing haul

MANILA, Philippines—The gold medal remained elusive for the Philippine rowing team but it added several medals to its the 31st Southeast Asian Games haul on Saturday at Thuy Nguyen Hai Phong Aquatics Center in Vietnam.
Adding another silver on Saturday was Joanie Delgaco in the women’s single sculls.
Delgaco was also part of the women’s team that won bronze in the lightweight quadruple sculls.
Tokyo Olympian Cris Nievarez only managed to bag the bronze in the men’s lightweight single sculls—an event he ruled in the 2019 Games in Manila.
Nievarez won silver in the men’s lightweight double sculls on Wednesday.
Edgar Ilas and Zuriel Sumintac also won the bronze medal in men’s lightweight pair.
