Jordan Clarkson thrilled to see familiar faces in PBA Finals
MANILA, Philippines—Utah Jazz star Jordan Clarkson had a front-row seat to the PBA title showdown between defending champion TNT and San Miguel Beer on Sunday night.
And the Gilas cornerstone is thrilled to see some familiar faces duking it out at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“It’s amazing.” he said in a brief TV interview. “Seeing (Jayson) Castro, (CJ) Perez and Chris Ross–everybody having a good time.”
Clarkson arrived during the second quarter of the series opener.
“It’s the big time, it’s the Finals. [I’m] just happy to be here,” he went on.
Clarkson is set to backstop Gilas Pilipinas in two key Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifying games beginning this week.
Gilas is set to leave for Beirut a little past midnight this Tuesday to play Asia Cup silver winner Lebanon.
Clarkson will be the biggest draw when Gilas plays Saudi Arabia on August 29 at Mall of Asia Arena.
