“I wanted other people to see what we have here in Antipolo and how Antipoleños warmly welcome [the PVL]. Hopefully, more Antipoleños will support the PVL,” said Maraño in Filipino after scoring seven points in their 25-20, 25-14, 25-16 win over Nxled on Tuesday at Ynares Center.

ANTIPOLO — Dindin Santiago-Manabat led Akari with 21 points to haunt her former team, Chery Tiggo, 25-20, 18-25, 25-22, 25-20, and earn their second win in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday evening at Ynares Center.

Like in the first conference, Manabat was still a thorn in the side of the Crossovers as she registered 16 kills including the clutch hits in the last two sets to go with four blocks and an ace.

The veteran opposite spiker, who signed with Akari last January, said she wanted to be a great example to her ex-teammates by bringing out her A game despite being on the opposing side.

ANTIPOLO — Savannah Davison sustained her fine form to lead PLDT to a 25-17, 25-17, 25-20 win over the winless Farm Fresh for their second straight win in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at Ynares Center.

Davison poured 18 points built on 13 kills, three aces, and two blocks as the High Speed Hitters improved to a 2-1 record at solo fourth place after beating the Foxies in just 70 minutes.

Although this is the Filipino-Canadian spiker’s first PVL stint, veteran setter Rhea Dimaculangan said the High Speed Hitters didn’t have a hard time adjusting with Davison.

ANTIPOLO —  Ivy Lacsina admitted the opposite spiker is her least favorite out of all the positions she plays in volleyball.

But her determination to step up for F2 Logistics, which continued to miss the services of Kianna Dy due to a knee injury, helped the Lacsina thrive in her new role as she led her team past Nxled, 25-20, 25-14, 25-16, in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at Ynares Center Antipolo.

After playing both as outside and opposite spiker for the Cargo Movers in their five-set loss to the Akari Chargers last week, Lacsina focused on the opposite and shone with a game-high 19 points on 15-of-28 attacking clip to go with four kill blocks and eight digs.

MANILA, Philippines—Ced Domingo hopes to make the country proud as she becomes the eighth homegrown Filipino volleyball player to see action overseas.

Domingo is honored to join the list of former and active Filipino imports as she takes her act to the Volleyball Thailand League as import of Nakhon Ratchasima, which ruled last season’s tournament under former Creamline coach Tai Bundit.

The two-time Premier Volleyball League Best Middle Blocker will be playing for a club that tapped Mylene Paat and Dindin Santiago-Manabat as its two imports last year.
