Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva sponsored the resolution during the plenary session.
“I’ve been following this young lady’s career for years now, and it is so fulfilling to witness the culmination of all her hard work, dedication, and training with a grand slam championship at the tender age of 17,” Villanueva said during his sponsorship speech.
The majority leader noted the role of Eala’s family in her triumph.

He likewise pushed to support all athletes who aim to bring pride to the Philippines.
